Plan the slat nesting

Nesting arranges parts on sheets and shows the space they take up. The preview helps you review the quantity and the arrangement, but the final cutting setup remains part of your workshop’s CAM flow.

What to review in the layout

• Count: check the number of parts placed and compare it with the panel.
• Margin: keep the margin between the parts and the edge of the sheet used in the project.
• Gap: check the space between outlines, considering tool, material and finish.
• Excluded parts: find items larger than the sheet before you download the files.
• Yield: use the occupied area as a reference; fibre direction and clamping zones also affect the real plan.

The current templates start from sheets of 1,220 mm × 2,440 mm, with a 10 mm margin and a 8 mm gap. Check the dimensions in the preview and in the file before you fabricate.
