GUIDE · SLATTED PANELS

From model to wooden slats

A parametric panel lets you try out proportions without redrawing every slat. Use this route to turn a template into a file you can review in the workshop.

1. Choose a pattern and set the envelope

Start with vertical waves, horizontal waves, rings or flow. Measure the available width and height. In the editor, enter the panel dimensions in millimetres and keep a reference of the real measure to check the scale later.

2. Adjust the relief and the repetition

The maximum depth limits how far the relief projects, and the amplitude sets how much it varies. Each template sets the frequency and direction of the wave; the editor lets you adjust slat spacing, thickness and orientation. Check that the material is available and that it is stiff enough for your use.

3. Check the preview and review the sheets

Use the 3D preview to understand the surface and the slat view to inspect the parts. Open the “Chapas / Exportar” tab (the editor is currently in Portuguese only) to see how many parts fit the layout and which were left out for exceeding the dimensions.

4. Check the file in your CAM flow

Download the DXF or SVG and check the scale, outlines, tool, cut depth and clamping in the machine software. WoodPath does not generate G-code or choose parameters for a specific CNC.
